Can Pain Killers Numb Emotional Pain?

Okay so I'm actually in a lot of physical pain and my doctor said that if I can't take the pain anymore he'll prescribe me opioids, so I can use them instead of over the counter ones, and he told me all the risks associated with them, most specifically addiction. I've been thinking about it, I'm also depressed and I hate taking anti-depressants, they don't work, I still feel miserable everyday, I still feel like killing myself every time I open my eyes to reality. I don't want to feel happy or sad, good or bad, anger, jealousy, frustration, regret etc etc, I want to feel nothing. Can pain killers do that and which opioid will work best at doing that?
