Trying to install Mo Creatures Mod in Minecraft; black screen! Help?

So I'm trying to install Mo creatures mod in minecraft with mod manager because the manual way is confusing to me. I updated all of the things; GUI, Audiomod, and Modloader, and also of course Mo creatures itself. I put all of the things into the mod loader, click "Finish Modding" and it says I'm ready to mod again, so I close it, but when I open minecraft and login, the mojang screen doesn't come up at all; it's just a black screen. And yes, I DID delete the META-INF folder. I've done this before with the 1.3 version with modloader and it worked fine, so I have no idea what's wrong. Could someone please help me? I'm getting really frustrated. Thanks
